Notes

This field, in conjunction with the date and updating frequency fields, should give the user a good indication of how current the information contained in the resource is.

It is not necessary to fill in this field for a resource which is updated frequently. (i.e. more than quarterly) though it may be useful to do so, especially if updating is not always done strictly to schedule.

The strange format for the date is necessary to allow accurate searching, and to make it clear which is the year, month or day. The format is YYYYMMDD, where YYYY is the year, MM is the month and DD the day. Putting the date in a more easily recognised form as well makes the record more user friendly, however, the standard format MUST appear first.
