EDUCATION, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Education (Teachers) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 1991

Laid before Parliament 10th October 1991
Coming into force 1st November 1991

    The Secretary of State for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 218(5)(c) and (6)(c) and 232(5) of the Education Reform Act 1988[1], hereby makes the following Regulations:
    Citation and commencement
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Teachers) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 1st November 1991.
    Amendment
        2.    Regulation 7 of the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1989[2] shall be amended as follows by the insertion after paragraph (b) of the following—
        "(c) by the governing body of a school as workers with children or young persons;" .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations further amend the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1989: the definition of "relevant employment" in regulation 7 is amended to cover the employment by the governing bodies of schools of workers with children and young persons.
