ROAD TRAFFIC

The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Variation Order 1995

Made 1st May 1995
Coming into force 15th May 1995

    The Traffic Director for London, following a direction given to him by the Secretary of State for Transport under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991[1] and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[2], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Variation Order 1995, and shall come into force on 15th May 1995.
        2.    The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993[3] is varied as provided by the following provisions of this Order.
        3.    In Schedule 2, delete paragraph 3.
        4.    In Schedule 2, for paragraph 6 substitute—
            "6.    From a point 2 metres south-east of the party wall of Nos 516 and 518 Holloway Road south-eastward for a distance of 28 metres."
        5.    In Schedule 2, after paragraph 6, insert the following paragraph—
            "6A.    From a point 22 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Hercules Street south-eastward for a distance of 18 metres."
        6.    In Schedule 2, delete paragraph 7.
        7.    In Schedule 2, after paragraph 7, insert the following paragraphs—
            "7A.    Between a point 10 metres south-east of a point opposite the south-eastern kerbline of Windsor Road and a point 2 metres south-east of the south-eastern boundary wall of No. 6 Gaumont Parade, Holloway Road.

            7B.    Between a point level with the common boundary of Nos 381 and 383 Holloway Road and a point level with the common boundary of Nos 377 and 379 Holloway Road.

            7C.    Between a point 2 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos 363 and 365 Holloway Road and a point 1 metre south-east of the common boundary of Nos 357 and 359 Holloway Road."
        8.    In Schedule 3, for paragraph 3 substitute—
            "3.    From a point 4 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Hercules Street south-eastward for a distance of 18 metres."
        9.    In Schedule 3, delete paragraph 4.
        10.    In Schedule 3, for paragraph 5 substitute—
            "5.    From a point 2.6 metres south-east of the party wall of Nos 450 and 452 Holloway Road south-eastwards for a distance of 28.6 metres."
        11.    In Schedule 3, after paragraph 6, insert the following paragraphs—

        "South-West Side

            6A.    Between a point 2 metres south-east of the south-eastern boundary wall of No 6 Gaumont Parade, Holloway Road and a point level with the north-western boundary wall of No 4 Gaumont Parade, Holloway Road.

            6B.    Between a point 2 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos 375 and 377 Holloway Road and a point 2 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos 363 and 365 Holloway Road."
        12.    In Schedule 3, after paragraph 32, insert the following paragraph—
            "32A.    From a point 4 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Bowmans Place south-eastward for a distance of 23 metres."
        13.    In Schedule 3, delete paragraph 42.
        14.    In Schedule 4, for paragraphs 40, 41 and 42 substitute—
            "40.    Between a point level with the north-western boundary wall of No 4 Gaumont Parade, Holloway Road and a point 20 metres north-west of the party wall of Nos 409a and 411 Holloway Road.

            41.    Between a point 5 metres south-east of the party wall of Nos 409a and 411 Holloway Road and a point level with the north-western kerbline of the north-western access road fronting No 383 Holloway Road.

            42.    Between a point 1 metre south-east of the common boundary of Nos 357 and 359 Holloway Road and a point 184 metres south-east of the southern kerbline of Camden Road."
        15.    In Schedule 4, delete paragraphs 43 and 44.
