EDUCATION, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Education (Fees and Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 1995

Made 3rd May 1995
Laid before Parliament 9th May 1995
Coming into force 1st June 1995

    The Secretary of State for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 1 and 2 of the Education (Fees and Awards) Act 1983[1], hereby makes the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Fees and Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st June 1995.
        2.    Regulation 4 of The Education (Fees and Awards) Regulations 1994[2] is amended—
       (a) in paragraphs (1) and (2) by omitting the words "full-time or sandwich" in both places where they occur, and
       (b) in paragraph (3) by omitting the definitions of "full-time course" and "sandwich course".
        3.    The above amendments shall not apply as respects the charging of relevant fees in respect of students attending a course which begins before 1st September 1995.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend The Education (Fees and Awards) Regulations 1994 and come into force on 1st June 1995.
    Part II of the 1994 Regulations is amended so that it applies not only to full-time and sandwich courses but also to part-time courses.
