ROAD TRAFFIC

The Road Traffic (Special Parking Area) (London Borough of Redbridge) (Amendment No. 2) Order 1995

Laid before Parliament 25th May 1995
Coming into force 16th June 1995

    Whereas the council of the London Borough of Redbridge has applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under section 76 of the Road Traffic Act 1991[1] and the Secretary of State has consulted the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with section 76(2) of that Act:
    NOW, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) and section 77(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
    Citation and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Special Parking Area) (London Borough of Redbridge) (Amendment No. 2) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 16th June 1995.
    Interpretation
        2.    In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires—
      "the principal Order" means the Road Traffic (Special Parking Area) (London Borough of Redbridge) Order 1994[2];

      "the transferred areas" means the areas referred to in the Schedule to this Order; and

      "the special parking area" means the special parking area designated by article 3(1) of the principal Order.

    Amendment of the principal Order
        3.—(1)  The principal Order shall have effect as if the transferred areas were included in the special parking area.

        (2)  Article 4 (modification of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984) and article 5 (modification of the Road Traffic Act 1991) of the principal Order shall apply in relation to the transferred areas as they apply in relation to the special parking area and references in those articles to "the special parking area" and to "a special parking area" shall be taken to include the transferred areas.
