SPORTS GROUNDS AND SPORTING EVENTS

The Football Spectators (Seating) Order 1995

Made 4th July 1995
Laid before Parliament 5th July 1995
Coming into force 31st July 1995


    The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 11(1) to (3) of the Football Spectators Act 1989[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consulting the Football Licensing Authority, hereby makes the following Order:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Football Spectators (Seating) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 31st July 1995.
        2.—(1)  The Secretary of State hereby directs the Football Licensing Authority as set out in paragraph (2) below.

        (2)  When granting any licence to admit spectators[2] to any of the premises specified in column (1) of Schedule 1 hereto and further identified, in column (2) of that Schedule by the name of the football club of which they are or will be the home ground, it shall include a condition imposing the requirements, as respects the seating of spectators at designated football matches[3] at the said premises, specified in Schedule 2 hereto.
